Decatur County General Hospital administrator Scott Barber says he hopes the hospital will be able to treat patients not only physically, but also spiritually and mentally. That's what a new Ministerial Association's mission is. The group wants to be able to provide comfort, to console and to counsel. They will be able to share hope in a seemingly hopeless situation. Several volunteer ministers attended an organizational meeting Monday and several more ministers and other volunteers have already placed their names on the list. Those attending included Chris Young, Rodney Hardin, Scott Bloodsworth, Aaron Dowdy, Greg Stanford and Keith Kirk, along with Barber. Others joining the association include Chris Brasher, Don Franks, Danny Ray, Jason Varnick, Chris Warren, Kelly Allen, Joel and Mallory Jones, Chad and Gina Pratt and Keith Wayne Renfroe. The services are planned to begin by the first of February.
